Toddler playing the violin

Violin lessons for toddlers

Learning all the correct techniques with an excellent violin instructor is key to the success of your child’s musical life.

All new skills must be learnt in the right way to avoid forming bad habits and damaging your child’s overall education.

Even if they are still very small, toddlers aged 3 to 5, are perfectly able to hold a little violin and start learning how to produce beautiful sounds from the instrument.

They will first learn how to place their feet, stand in a relaxed way and hold their violin before discovering the basic method called pizzicato and finally start using their bow.

To follow the understanding of the nature of the violin, they will progressively be lead to learn music fundamentals such as notes and rhythms thanks to games created by their instructor.

At The Children’s Music Academy, all our violin instructors have been selected for their high qualifications and experience in working with toddlers but also for their kind and loving personality.

We believe that being inspired and encouraged gently, from day one, is essential for your little ones to develop a passion for the violin and enjoy their lessons extremely much!
